FAQ – How to Fund Validus with BINANCE

The Theory of Funding

You need to pay attention to three critical points when funding your Validus account. These three points apply to all exchanges and wallets. The theory is the same:

  1. The Coin you select to send (from CoinPayments page), and the coin you send from your exchange/wallet, must be the same:
    • i.e, if you select Bitcoin from your CoinPayments funding page, you must send Bitcoin.
    • if you select Ethereum, you must send Ethereum.
    • If you get this wrong your money is irreversibly lost.
  2. The address must be absolutely correct
    • The address you are shown on the CoinPayments page must be copied and pasted perfectly.
    • To ensure you do this correctly, triple-click in the center of the address and then right-click and select copy.
    • The memorise the first 2 and last 2 digits, to do a manual check when pasting.
  3. The net amount of Coins sent must be what the Coinpayment page asked for.
    • i.e, if your exchange charges a small fee to send (which they all usually do), you must ensure that that fee is added to the amount being sent.
    • Some exchanges do this automatically, others (like Binance) you must add manually.
